Fashion month is over. Four cities, hundreds of shows and more selfies than we can shake a stick at. Worried you may have missed something? Well, fear not, we’ve rounded up our top thirteen highlights…
The size 16 model and body-positive campaigner made front page news when she debuted the first plus-size catwalk at New York Fashion Week. Ashley Graham stormed the runway wearing the latest collection from her lingerie line for Canadian brand Addition Elle.
This was the first season in a while that Cara didn’t dominate the catwalks of fashion month. Cara has been busy pursuing her acting career but couldn’t stay away from fashion week entirely. Cara and her girlfriend, St Vincent sat FROW at both the Burberry and Chanel shows.
Well this definitely wins the prize for the weirdest moment of fashion month. Rick Owens’ models walked the catwalk carrying other models in an array of odd positions like they were backpacks. One trend we won’t be embracing…
Whilst the 400,000 delphiniums covering the Louvre made for one of the most stunning venues we’ve ever seen, it was Rihanna who stopped us in our tracks at the Dior show. Normally making headlines for her provocative style, Rihanna made news this time for an altogether more demure look. We totally fell in love with this oversized pastel pink coat from Dior’s AW15 Couture collection.

Always one of our favourite LFW shows, Ashish didn’t let us down when it sent models skating, not walking, down the catwalk. The collection was just as fun – think frayed denim, metallic slip dresses and embellished capes.
After 12 seasons on the cobbles of Somerset House the fash pack moved to Soho. The hub of this September’s LFW was in a Brewer Street car park – the reaction was mixed to say the least.
We all know Oliver Rousteing has many a supermodel BBF, and for his SS16 show he enlisted on the help of, well, all of them. Kendall, Gigi (plus sister Bella), Joan Smalls, Jourdan Dunn, Lily Donaldson, Doutzen Kroes, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Donaldson and Lily Aldridge all walked. That must have been one expensive casting bill…
Karl Lagerfeld trumped his supermarket and street protest extravaganzas by hosting his SS16 show in an airport. Invites were flight tickets, there were real life flight attendants, and showgoers went through an actual baggage drop off. What will Karl dream up next?
Lily Rose Depp that is. Daughter of a certain Johnny Depp, the budding model attended the SS16 Chanel show with her mum, Vanessa Paradis. Posing nonchalantly with Karl Lagerfeld on the airline runway she caused quite the storm. We predict BIG things for this 16 year old.
Gigi was the standout model of fashion month walking in shows for everyone from Versace to Tom Ford. Bella wasn’t far behind really made a name for herself this season whilst walking at the likes of Tommy Hilfiger and Moschino. With little brother Anwar also getting in on the act it looks like we have one famous family on our hands.
After it was announced back in March that this September’s show would be his last, we waited with baited breath about Wang might do. He did not disappoint and sent an army of famous faces down the catwalk – including Zoë Kravitz, Riley Keough and Suki Waterhouse – to a soundtrack of Notorious B.I.G. Tupac and Snoop Dogg. Choosing to run down the catwalk snapping selfies as his finale, he certainly went out with a bang.
Marc Jacobs closed NYFW with a night at the cinema. With models posing on a red carpet (natch) and guests treated to popcorn and a live orchestra, this was no ordinary show.
For their SS16 show D&G embraced our obsession with the selfie. The Italian designers sent models down the runway, phones in hand, taking selfies that appeared on a screen in the venue. It was bound to happen at some point…
