These Wedding Photos Will Make You Seriously Emotional

An American father has touched thousands of people across the world with a heartfelt gesture he made at his daughter’s wedding.

Todd Bachman was walking 21-year-old Brittany Peck down the aisle in Ohio when he paused to grab her stepdad Todd Cendrosky and take him with them.

The moment was immortalised by the wedding photographer in a series of moving images, which show various members of the party in floods of tears.

But why was this such an important statement?

Poignantly, Todd has since revealed to the Chronicle-Telegram that his relationship with Brittany’s stepfather had been strained since they met.

However, in an emotional phone call two weeks before her wedding, his daughter admitted that she wasn’t sure who should give her away to her new husband Jeremy Peck.

‘She called me and said: “Dad, something’s bothering me.” I told her I already had something planned. She was so torn, and the last thing I wanted was for her to be torn.’

Photographer Delia D Blackburn later wrote on Facebook: ‘NOT A DRY EYE at the ceremony..including me! Families are what we make them…make it about your kids and not your ego.

‘Congratulations Todd Bachman on showing your kids what true love really is…love for your children.’

Mr Cendrosky was clearly ecstatic to have been included in the ceremony, saying: ‘I always wanted to [walk a daughter] down the aisle, and when I married my beautiful wife, Candy, she gave me three daughters.

”I don’t have “stepdaughters”… I have daughters, and when Todd grabbed my hand… that was the best day of my life, and I wouldn’t change that day for the world.

‘We have become family, and the children’s needs need to come first.’
