You don’t need us to tell you that Cara Delevingne and Rita Ora love a statement-making wardrobe buy, but did you know their latest obsession is one you can afford too? Yep, you’re going to fall head over heels in love with the new street style label Cara, Rita and countless other celebs are wearing. It’s called Local Heroes, and it’s seriously hot right now.
The brainchild of two young Polish girls, Areta Szpura and Karolina Slota, Local Heroes is inspired by youth subcultures and focuses on taking simple, staple shapes like sweatshirts and tees, and injecting them full of sassy humour and wit.
Remember Cara’s quirky ‘Last clean t-shirt’ tee? Yep. That was Local Heroes.
The brand knew early on that it needed to engage with the fash pack using language that only they understand, and before long international A-listers – Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Cara – were smitten with the designs. Unsurprisingly, Local Heroes exploded over social media, with Ellie Goulding and co snapping countless selfless in their wares. Then Cara wore that tee and the rest is history.
With prices starting from just £15, you can bag yourself a piece of this trend for less than the price of a Friday night takeaway.
