So it looks like David Beckham had a very happy 40th birthday.
David reached the milestone age on Saturday and celebrated with friends and family in what appeared to be the most ah-mazing party EVER.
And guess where we saw most of the snaps? David’s new Instagram account!
Yep, the ex-footballer’s present to himself (and, er, to us) was to join the site that morning.
He kicked off proceedings by posting a rather attractive picture of himself topless in bed and within hours he’d amassed well over 1 million followers.
He later posed with a pile of presents, writing alongside the photo: ‘I feel very spoilt this morning! #DB40.’
Yeah, that’s right. He got to use his own trending hashtag. Casual.
But David wasn’t the only person who was uploading images throughout the day. Both Brooklyn, 16, and Victoria, 41, kept fans updated on their activities.
And things started to look seriously fun in the evening. As well as treating his followers to a sweet shot of himself with his parents and younger sister Joanne, David also managed to sort out a Spice Girls reunion.
He jokily captioned a picture of himself with Eva, Victoria and her former bandmates Emma Bunton and Mel C: ‘Great to see these shy and retiring ladies. Never a dull moment.’

Victoria took a similar shot with Geri Halliwell, writing: ‘Spice Girls in Marrakech! #DB40 x vb @Melaniecmusic @evalongoria @therealgerihalliwell.’
EXCITING! We just need Mel B…
There were also some romantic moments, with Victoria showing her affection for her husband of 16 years by wrapping her arms around him as he blew out the candles on his two cakes.
‘What a special and amazing night to be with the people I love,’ gushed David.
After all that partying, you’d think David would have been left to chill out a little the next day. But three-year-old Harper had different ideas.
David adorably explained on a snap of himself wearing a headband: ‘Someone is trying to make daddy feel pretty today after a heavy night.’
