The Moments That Rocked London Fashion Week

Wow are we tired! After five days of countless catwalk shows and presentations, endless trends, hot new models and a fair few soirees, London Fashion Week AW15 has come to an end, and while we’ve loved every minute, we have to say our poor feet are rather relieved.  But, we couldn’t head off for some much-needed sleep without bringing you a round up of the highlights that really made our week. Enjoy!

Of course, we’ve got to talk about Burberry. The favourite ticket of our packed-LFW schedule for the celeb-spotting potential alone, this year’s catwalk was all about one A-list lady in particular, and no, we’re not talking about Burberry girls Cara Delevingne or Jourdan Dunn. We are of course on about a certain Ms Naomi Campbell, who rocked up to the show a whopping 20 minutes late – we’d definitely already seen about 10 amazing catwalk looks by this point. Never on to be fazed by anything, Naomi breezed in – turning heads in her statement white fluffy coat – and took her place between FROW buddies Mario Testino and Kate Moss. Designer Christopher Bailey obviously didn’t hold a grudge, as we spotted him posing for pics with Naomi, Jourdan, Cara and Sam Smith post-show. Well, Ms Campbell’s late entrance did send social media into meltdown, racking up a whopping 19,000 Burberry-related tweets (that and the uh-mazing collection obviously!)

Next up, a shout out to two seriously fashionable ladies who we had a lot of love for this LFW. First, catwalk star Sam Rollinson, who we’ve officially crowned the hardest working model of the moment. The super-in-the-making racked up more runway and presentation appearances than we could keep track of, and while we we’re absolutely knackered, she just looked like she was having a blast. We hope you managed to catch a nap before Milan kicks off Sam!

It wouldn’t be London Fashion Week without a catch-up with the lovely Miss Millie Macintosh, who we met up with before the Felder Felder show to film her gorgeous FROW outfit – check out the video here. As sweet as ever, Millie braved the cold to give us the low-down on her hot high street look – yep, it’s totally shoppable – and tell us that she couldn’t wait to see what Felder Felder had in store for next season as it’s one of her fave labels. Lovely to see you Mils!

Now, one thing we couldn’t survive the five days of shows without is our trusty Hyundai wheels. This season, we  whizzed around London in a silver Santa Fe emblazoned with the pink LOOK logo, so you couldn’t fail to spot us! Faced with freezing temperatures – we can’t remember LFW ever being so nippy – the cosy car became our sanctuary – and social media HQ – in between shows. With a endless supply of PopChips and Joe and Seph’s popcorn in there, it’s a wonder we ever got out.

Lastly, say hello to the new street style trend to crush on, and this season was all about the lace up flat. Spotted on many a show-goer – including LOOK’s very own Head of Fashion News Lucy Wood and Fashion Editor Chloe Jackson, who both rocked a leopard print Office pair – this new flattie strikes the perfect balance between comfort and chic, and looks set to become a spring shoe must-have. Want in? Head to Office, New Look or Free People to get your hands on a pair.
