The LOOK Show Diaries – Behind The Scenes At River Island
It’s 21 days and counting until The LOOK Show and things are hotting up as we try to juggle getting the magazine out each week and working with the 11 high-street brands to style up outfits for the show. Along with model castings (we’re making them walk up and down the office – so glamorous!), preparing ideas for the supermodel and celebrity shoots, sourcing products for the goody bags and designing the invites. It’s all go, go, go! But onto the most important part of the show – the clothes… We spent the day at River Island head office amongst rails and racks full of clothes, drowning in amazing accessories (heaven!). Styling eight outfits was the easy bit, the hard part is making sure every item is going to be online or in store in time for you to buy it. So now River is ticked off my list. We have a shopping list longer than my arm including this must-have cape and cute pom-pom hat, and it’s onto New Look next. No rest for the wicked! - HH
