The Kate Middleton Fashion Watch Picks Up Pace...

Kate Middleton wearing a red and black suit on a royal visit to Scotland

The rumour mill has gone berserk with talk that Kate Middleton has chosen design house Alexander McQueen to make the perfect white dress for the most anticipated wedding of the decade. Word has it that Kate is particularly taken with the wedding dress worn by Plum Sykes, which was designed by Sarah Burton – the label’s new head. If we can believe such rumours, then we can expect detailing such as hand-sewn roses, pure white taffeta, cinched-in corsetry and, of course, the obligatory train. The dress that has apparently inspired Kate has an 8ft train – a snip in comparison to Diana’s wedding dress, which sported an enormous 25ft train. Think of the backache!

It’s fair to say that wedding season is well underway – the LOOK office alone is in wedding overdrive, with four of our team currently engaged and planning their big days. Checklists at the ready, girls, it’s going to be a big year to be a bride! RS
