Taylor Swift Swaps Preppy For ’80s-Style Punk

Taylor Swift has totally let go of her perfectly put together, preppy look to turn high-fashion cover model. And we can’t stop staring at the pictures.

The US singer took to Instagram to share her joy at landing her first ever Vogue UK cover, posting: ‘Guys I’m really excited about this. My first @britishvogue cover!’.

And what a cover it is.

We’re used to seeing Taylor in preppy shorts and collared frocks, lipstick firmly in place and blowdryed bangs swishing as she walks.

So this slicked-back, undone look is a total style switch-up for the singer, exposing her rarely-seen forehead and making Swifty’s gorgeous sea blue peepers really pop. Wow.

A healthy, golden tan, a deep rosy flush and a cute smattering of freckles (courtesy of a freckle pen, we suspect), make up Taylor’s modern beauty look – and the transformation doesn’t stop there.

Tay is seen working a pale pink Miu Miu jacket and a cosy baby blue cable kit dress as she curls up next to the couch for her striking cover shot.

Inside, the slouchy layered look continues with a pink flippy skirt and a thick turquoise off-the-shoulder knit worn over a yellow bandeau top and a space-age style white shift.

The whole thing is very late ’80s, and very cool. Ms Swift should mix it up more often!
