Move over Cheryl, theres a new Girls Aloud member stealing your style crown!

Nicola Roberts has been criticised by the press in the past, having had her appearance constantly compared unfavourably against her Girls Aloud bandmates. These days however she has become a new style icon of ours and is even giving Cheryl Cole a run for her money in the style stakes. This week she outshone all the other Girls Aloud members, including Mrs Cole, when she turned up at the Brit Awards in a gorgeous fishtail gown by J Mendel. Teamed with her porcelain skin and red hair, she won our fashion award for best dressed. After the Brits came London Fashion Week and Nicola showed the rest of the fashion gang how to dress appropriately for the front row. Ms Roberts turned up to the hottest fashion show of the week, Vivienne Westwood, in a sensational green satin dress by the designer. The Girls Aloud star teamed her cowl neck dress with pale pink Christian Louboutin shoes and a structured black clutch. To celebrate the end of her fashion marathon, Nicole hung out with Girls Aloud party animal, Sarah Harding, at the NME awards. Nicola looked stunning in a short black mini-dress by Preen, teamed with open toe ankle boots. Keep up the good work Ms Roberts as you're fast becoming one of our favourite style icons of 2009. Cheryl Cole you had better watch out!
