Street Style: Pop On A Pencil For Flawless Spring Style

Pencil skirts have become one of our most dependable wardrobe staples. From casual to formal dressing, the pencil can do it all, and it’s the perfect piece for us to wear during the spring-to-summer transition, too
. Best of all, you can pair your pencil with anything from skate shoes to classic courts. We’re serious fans of Russian blogger, Manona Che, who has teamed her Kenzo-inspired sweater with a cobalt skirt and colour-pop courts, keeping her accessories simple with a bright Zara clutch. And proving that sequins don’t have to be saved for the dancefloor, Clare Astra Morris rocks some full-on Asos sparkle in her skirt, teamed with New Look skates. We love that Michael Kors-esque cloud print!

We also spotted Vivian Li giving great pencil in her pink Zara number. She kept the look relaxed in a cropped blouse from Primark and a metallic Isabel Marant bomber jacket which we’re totally obsessed with. Fashion blogger Monica Barleycorn, meanwhile, whitewashed her wardrobe with a mesh inset skirt and cropped knit from Matalan to match her white shades and clutch – perfect! The key here is to use your pencil as the base of your look and dress around it – keep on-top silhouettes simple and fuss free, and don’t overdo it on the tailoring. See below for our top buys.
