Slut-Shamers Vandalise A Mural of Kim K’s Naked Selfie

Unless you’ve been living under a rock this last week you can’t have failed to notice the latest furor surrounding Kim Kardashian.

Her naked insta selfie has caused quite the stir, and the latest response to her nude pic comes from an artist in Australia.

The artist – who goes by the name of lushsux on Instagram – has painted a giant mural of Kim K’s naked body on the side of a Melbourne building.

Describing himself on Instagram as a “Social media activist, vegan, intersectional feminist, bachelor of gender studies, wealthy industrialist and philanthropist”, the artist specialises in creating art that pokes fun at modern society.

However, just 8 hours after he had completed the work, the 30-foot tribute had been vandalized. Much like the thousands of comments Kim received on Instagram the words read “SLUT”.

Speaking to Buzzfeed about the incident the artist said: “It was a given, considering the subject matter… I’m bummed that people didn’t get more of a chance to interact with it and that someone felt the dire need to spray ‘slut’ across it.”

And it doesn’t end there – the artist told The Independent his work has been attacked for a second time.  “I didn’t even get to get a good night’s sleep before I had to go and fix it again. To add insult to injury it has since been sprayed with the word ‘WHORE’,” he said.

Considering the backlash Kim has received since sharing the pic with her 41.8 million following we’re hardly surprised. A number of high profile celebs were quick to slate the star for her naked pic which in turn prompted Kim to pen a powerful letter on female empowerment and slut-shaming.

We wonder if Kim has seen this latest artwork?
