Its official: army green is set to be the colour of the season, but how do you wear this tricky tone without looking like you’ve escaped from training camp? Hot designer Christophe Decarnin at Balmain marched his girls down the spring/summer 2010 runway in bullet-holed T-shirts, shredded-edge skirts, distressed dirty denim and heavy heeled boots. Nice for the catwalk but a little too Soldier Soldier when all worn together.  He did, however, bring us the ‘new’ style military jacket – fitted khaki with shoulder epaulettes (Warehouse, Marks & Spencer and River Island have done the best versions, due to hit the high street soon).   What we’re really rocking is the ‘sexy Major’ look.
