Following Don’t Tell The Bride’s departure from TV (RIP BBC 3), we’ve had a rather large wedding show shaped hole in our lives. Our weeknights just aren’t the same without a heavy dose of real-life wedding drama - sob!
However, that is all about to change. One of our fave wedding reality shows, Say Yes To The Dress is soon to start filming here in the UK.
The hugely popular TLC show has racked up hundreds of episodes in New York, Atlanta and Canada, and with viewing figures reaching 15 million plus in the UK it was only time before we got our own show.
Set in a wedding dress shop, the reality show documents various brides as they try and find their perfect gown. Drama is rarely avoided as friends, family and the show’s presenters all give their conflicting opinions. Imagine tears, bitching and bridezillas galore and you’re on the right lines.
The UK version of Say Yes To The Dress will be set in Essex at the Confetti and Lace bridal boutique which is owned by wedding dress designer, Christine Dando.
Joining Christine in the presenter line-up is designer David Emanuel, who is most famous for creating Princess Diana’s wedding dress.
The first series will include a whopping 40 episodes, and excitingly the show is currently casting for brides. If you or one of your friend’s needs help choosing your dream dress then you can apply now.
All the details are in the video below but you can also apply here.
Or, alternatively you could try your luck at the casting call at The Wedding Fair at ExCeL London, from 16 – 17 April.
Will you be entering the show? Let us know in the comments.
