Rihanna Rocks Summer’s Hottest Flats
Rihanna is rarely seen out of a pair of mega-heels but we all know the popstrel doesn’t miss a trend trick, which is why we weren’t surprised when she ditched the platforms for summer’s flats hit – the slipper. Yes, we said slippers! Kind of like a ballet pump/loafer hybrid, classic, gentlemans-style slippers are storming the shoe charts this season.
Ri-Ri’s gone for sumptuous black velvet with a dash of gold embroidery and a tassel detail, but there’s a whole load of slipper styles out there. Needless to say, high-street mecca Topshop is leading the pack with everything from popping colours to luxe suede and a very Christian Louboutin-ish black studded pair, but our current faves are these cobalt blue tasselled lovelies. Chic, comfy and bang on the money – sorry ballet pumps, we’ve got a new flat crush. GG
