Mulberry’s brand new AW14 campaign has been released, and we’re officially smitten. For next season, the brand has transported us to the wild and wonderful Scottish Highlands with Cara Delevingne, all dressed up in the new collection inspired by quintessential British tailoring, with Argyll and Aran-influenced knitwear and houndstooth galore.
Legendary fashion photographer Tim Walker shot the campaign, capturing Cara in her minis and chunky knits, roaming the countryside in rain boots and brogues. And, of course, aside from the knee-highs and polo necks, there’s some brand new arm candy to lust over. Cara carries the brand new ‘Tessie’ and ‘Bayswater Buckle’, as well as sporting her own quilted black and camo-print Cara backpacks.
Anne-Marie Verdin, Mulberry’s brand director, told us that her favourite thing about the campaign “is the sheer Mulberry of it! Big space, fresh air, wind in the hair, away from it all… Mulberry is a brand at home in town and country, and we wanted to capture that feeling.” Well capture it they did – aside from her luggage carriers, Cara’s only companions are some gamekeepers’ dogs and a flock of sheep. In fact, we heard that Cecil the bunny might be getting a new friend soon, as Cara was so smitten with a little lamb. We think we might just settle for a Mulberry ‘Tessie’…
