R Kelly Walks Out Of The Most Awkward Interview Ever

Wow. Well THIS has to be the most awkward interview of all time.

R Kelly sat down for a chat with HuffPost Live about his new album The Buffet yesterday, but let’s just say it didn’t quite go as planned…

Things took a turn for the worse when host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani started to ask whether he had ‘a healthy relationship with sex’.

‘Lets talk about your lyrics for a second, would you say that you have a healthy relationship with sex?’ she asked. ‘Sex is mentioned frequently in your lyrics, in many songs you talk about having sex with women, multiple women, would you say that you have a healthy relationship with sex and that that is reflected musically?’

And Kelly definitely didn’t take kindly to the line of questioning.

‘I did not come here to get interrogated, I didn’t come here for a deposition’, he retorted. If you don’t think you’re disrespecting me, that’s the level of your intelligence.’

In case you’re wondering why R Kelly was so touchy about the questions, it’s because he has repeatedly been accused of sexually abusing underage girls in the past, although never convicted.

Next, things got awkward. Kelly asked Caroline: ‘Do you drink? Do you get drunk?’

‘Yes’, she replied. ‘Do you fall all over and not know where you’re at?’ he asked again.

Caroline replied: ‘I don’t understand the line of questioning’, to which Kelly replied: ‘Exactly. But it isn’t positive, is it? It has nothing to do with your job, does it?’

After that, the whole interview got seriously heated, before Kelly got up to announce he was leaving the interview to go to McDonalds. But not before one last quip at his host…

‘Thank you so much, you’re so beautiful’, he said on his way out.

‘You don’t have to comment on my appearance, sir,’ Modarressy-Tehrani replied. Crikey. See the whole toe-curlingly awkward thing for yourself here.
