Primark Make-Up Is Here! And We Tried It…

It’s the home of brilliant budget wardrobe buys, but just how worthy is Primark beauty of a bargain haul? Senior Fashion News Writer Maxine Eggenberger put the brand’s new PS Pro make-up line up against a load of our fave premium make-up brands to find out. Here’s what happened…

1. PS Pro Rich Colour Lipstick, In Hollywood Red, £3

“I’d trade in my favourite lippie for this! The colour payoff was superb and it didn’t crack, or dry out my lips.”

2. PS Pro High Definition Mascara, £3

“If I had to choose one thing it would be this mascara. It rivaled the premium formula, and I actually preferred the wand. It separated my lashes and left them looking longer and more defined.”

3. PS Pro Longwear Graphic Liner, £3

“The nib of this felt-tip liner was a bit too big, which made it tricky to create my go-to cat flicks.”

4. PS Pro CC Concealer Palette, £2.50

“This wasn’t one of my favourites – I found that it creased under my eyes quite quickly, so I’ll likely still splurge on concealer.”

5. PS Pro Longwear Mineralized Foundation, £5

“The Ivory shade was a near perfect match; it went on easily and felt great on the skin. I would be happy to spend a little more on a longer lasting foundation, though.”

Our verdict? We’d go for Primarni’s lippie and mascara over other high-brow labels, while our precious skin calls for a little more luxury. What do you think?
