The plus size debate has been making some serious headlines of late, with more and more brands introducing plus size ranges and models into their collections and campaigns. Now Fashion Targets Breast Cancer are getting in on the act, too.
The charity, founded by Ralph Lauren in 1994, has teamed up with Bridge Models (an exclusive London curve agency) for its latest campaign – and it’s one of our favourite yet. Every year, fashion brands unite to release special collections, with the proceeds going towards helping breast cancer charities and, as if that’s not heroic enough, this time around they’re going a step further and challenging negative body image, too.
Showcasing dedicated ranges from M&S, Debenhams and Laura Ashley, this latest shoot focuses on uniting women of all shapes and sizes for a worthwhile cause.
Bridge Models are an exclusive curve agency who aim to ‘bridge the gap’ between standard and plus size in the fashion industry – impressive.
Bridge Models directors, Charlotte Griffiths and Beth Willis said of the hook up “It’s a great opportunity to raise awareness for the charity, by advertising these designs on women of all different shapes and sizes, promoting a diverse and body positive campaign for a great cause.”
We couldn’t agree more.
