Ever since the big tease in Vogue’s September issue, we’ve been left wondering exactly what was behind it.
Taking over a double page spread in the fashion glossy’s biggest issue of the year, we saw a black and white image with the silhouettes of a group of women, boasting all different shapes and sizes. The advert read: “Time For Change”.
The big reveal has finally happened.
Lane Bryant is the brand behind the mysterious ad. A plus-size retailer in the United States, they’re the fashion destination that’s home to trendy styles in sizes 14 to 28.

Model faces including Ashley Graham, Candice Huffine and Precious Lee, rallying together to support the retailer’s campaign launch in New York yesterday. It’s a celebration of all different body shapes.
#PlusIsEqual has taken on a mind of its own across social media, with women all around the world using the hashtag to join together in union, calling it a movement of empowerment.
Ashley Graham, who has amassed a stellar Instagram following and is famous for rocking the world of lingerie modelling as a curvacious plus size woman, has spoken out about the idea behind the #PlusIsEqual concept.
Speaking with the Huffington Post, she explained: “Everyone deserves to see themselves being represented equally… #PlusIsEqual is showing that curvy women are accepted, they’re represented and being made a priority in the fashion industry. We definitely still have more progress to make, but campaigns like this and #IAmSizeSexy are raising awareness for body diversity and continuing these great conversations.

We love that body shapes of all different variations are being represented, embraced and celebrated.
And this just bumps Ashley even higher up our girl crush list.
