There’s definitely one person who’s got Zayn Malik’s back after his split from Perrie Edwards – but it’s not who you’d expect.
Selena Gomez has spoken out in support of the ex-One Direction singer, saying that he’s always welcome to give her a call. Ooh.
‘I know Zayn, so it’s almost like if he would ever want to reach out, he knows that he could,’ Selena tells Key 102 Manchester.
‘I think that’s so exciting for him to go and figure out what he wants to do [in his solo career], but I don’t know what that is. I think it’ll be pretty exciting but, yes, I love him, he’s awesome.’
Perrie opened up about her break-up for the first time on Monday night. And she sounds totally fine, guys.
Thought the Little Mix lady was eating her body weight in ice cream, staring wistfully at photos of Zayn and crying into her pillow every night? Nuh-uh.
And there’s a very good reason for this – the support she’s received from her bandmates. Aw.
When the group appeared on James Corden’s US chat show The Late Late Show, James couldn’t help greeting Pezza with a big hug.
He then said: ‘Are you OK? It has been tough few weeks,’ to which Perrie replied: ‘You know what? I’m good.
‘We’re having an absolute blast in America. Things are going so well and I just wake up every day and I thank my lucky stars I have these three girls.

‘[They’ve got me through this] 100 per cent.’
Yes, ladies! We love a bit of girl power.
To be honest, we’re not entirely surprised by what Pezza told James. Since she and Zayn confirmed their split two weeks ago, she’s seemed nothing but confident and happy.
It’s thought that it was Zayn who ended things – but that hasn’t stopped Perrie from slaying every public appearance she’s made with LM.
The group are currently travelling around America promoting their new single Black Magic and nailed a performance at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday.
But Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock aren’t the only people who’ve been supporting Perrie.
She was recently snapped holding hands with the girls’ hairdresser Aaron Carlo – and one of Zayn’s old One Direction bandmates has also sent his best wishes.
Harry Styles reportedly got in contact with Perrie when he first heard about her and Zayn’s break-up.
‘It’s something Harry really understands from having his heart broken by his first girlfriend when he was 14,’ a source tells the Daily Star.
‘His heart immediately went out to Perrie and he called her up straight away. He’s very spontaneous that way. It meant a lot to her.’
