Did you notice something a little bit odd about Perrie Edwards’ outfit on Loose Women yesterday?
The 22-year-old appeared on the show with her Little Mix bandmates, and looked ah-mazing in a suede pinafore dress and black gladiator heels.
Perrie’s hair had been teased into tousled waves, with two plaited sections weaved into the front. She’d been made up with plenty of bronzer, dark nail varnish and her signature coffee-coloured lipstick. Miaow, lady.
But it was her accessories that caused some confusion. She’d opted for chunky hooped earrings, silver rings and, er, a pair of circular sunglasses.
Yep, you read that right. Sunglasses. In November.
However, Pezza wasn’t trying to make some kind of ironic sartorial statement. In fact, she’d covered her eyes in an attempt to hide a rather unpleasant medical condition.
Unfortunately, she’s been suffering from a spot of conjunctivitis. Oh, Perrie :(.
She explained the eyewear sitch in an Instagram video with LM’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock, jokily telling fans: ‘Leigh-Anne looks beautiful and flawless and I look like a stuck-up diva b****.
‘But it’s because I’m not very well, so apologies. I’m wearing glasses because I’ve got conjunctivitis.’
She captioned the clip: ‘#NotADiva #conjunctivitis.’
Perrie also spoke about the condition as she sat down to chat to presenters Ruth Langsford, Janet Street-Porter, Coleen Nolan and Linda Robson.

The Geordie star said: ‘Under these glasses is a monstrosity… I feel really rude. It feels weird. I’m so sorry but I look absolutely haggard. It’s because we work so hard!’
And to ensure the message definitely got across, she added on her personal Instagram account: ‘Wearing glasses all day because I’m ill and have conjunctivitis! bad times…. But on the plus side we are about to have our first TOUR MEETING!
‘I can’t contain my excitement, we are coming out with some amazing ideas! We’re gunna make this the biggest bestest show ever! #getweirdtour.’
It’s okay, Pez. We’ve all been there!
