Oyster-Coloured Dresses Ruled The Oscars Red Carpet

Shimmering oyster frocks ruled the Oscars 2012 red carpet with a whole host of celebs choosing the barely-there shade. Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez, who presented an award together on the night for ‘Best Costume Design’ and ‘Best Make-Up’, co-ordinated nicely with sparkling cream dresses – we wonder if they called each other up beforehand? Cameron wore a Gucci Premiere strapless number with a fishtail chiffon hemline complete with silver fringing, while J-Lo rocked a plunging Zuhair Murad nude net and silver beaded stripe effect gown.

Bridesmaids actress Kristen Wiig, who was a nominee for ‘Best Original Screenplay’ wore a frothy tulle J Mendel dress which matched her skintone perfectly, which she teamed with loose waves and glossy black nails. While Kate Mara looked sugary sweet in a pink Jack Guisso Couture dress with floral appliqué and a bow belt – super-girlie in comparison to her younger sister Rooney Mara’s minimal style. Nice work, ladies! RS
