It seems to be the week of stylish celebrities doing their bit for charity via the redesign of famous handbags. After Rihanna, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jourdan Dunn laid their hands to the Fendi Baguette rework, Olivia Palermo has now teamed up with Aspinal to create a very special handbag for a very special cause.
Style maven Palermo has helped redesign the famous Aspinal Marylebone Tote into a Tech bag, with the addition of an iPhone and iPad charger inside it. This will certainly come in handy for fashion week, where the frow will be able to keep their devices charged up and can Instagram until their heart’s content without running out of juice at that vital fashion moment.
There will only be 30 of these limited edition bags produced and they will be selling for £995. If you don’t quite have the dosh to splurge, we have found some dead ringers on the high street with all the style of the Marylebone (although sadly, none of the charging power.)
All profits from these spendy bags will be going to ADCAM – a charity that works in the Masai Mara region, which Olivia has supported for years.
Describing on their site how this is “the perfect handbag for the 21st Century woman,” we couldn’t agree more. We only hope it’s not too long before high street brands start making this seriously cool innovation a feature in their bags. Fingers crossed hey?
