The Trend You All Need To Get To Know

If you buy one top this season, make it an off-the-shoulder one. Everyone from Olivia Palermo and Chrissy Teigen to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Hailey Baldwin have been sporting the totally sexy and wearable style – and thanks to the high street, it’s never been easier for us to get involved. From H&M and Topshop, to River Island and ASOS, the high street is chock-full of gorgeous, affordable takes on the trend. Whether it’s exaggerated billowing sleeves, bardot-style bodycon dresses or classic bohemian numbers, the options are endless. All you need to do is pick your influences.

Take Olivia Palermo. The former The City star attended the People Style Watch event in New York last week wearing a chic pinstripe off-the-shoulder top complete with oversized gypsy ruffle sleeves. Teamed with a pair of cigarette jeans, pointed green flatties and a cute pink satchel bag, Miss Palermo looked every inch the fashionista.

And last night, Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen confirmed that off-the-shoulder tops and frocks are well and truly here to stay. In celebration of Samsung’s new tablet, Chrissy stepped out at the label’s launch party in Los Angeles wearing a classic off-the-shoulder LBD – and boy did she look good! We can’t get enough of her silver barely-there sandals and clutch combo, either.

To recreate each of their looks, we’ve scouted our fave high street hot-shots just for you.

If Olivia’s casual get-up is what you’re after, this Topshop number is just the ticket. In a soft light blue hue and with frills and elasticated shoulders, the top emulates Olivia’s perfectly – bar the price tag, obvs.
