This High Street Collection Will Make You Long For Autumn

Mint Velvet is spinning us a folk tale for the new season, and it’s one we’re thoroughly enjoying already. It might still be summer, but it’s that time of year when the new high street collections begin to emerge and get us all in a fluster about our autumn/winter wardrobes.

Lace LBDs, fringed boots, embroidered dresses, furry gilets and button-down mini skirts are just some of our favourite pieces from Mint Velvet’s autumnal offering. Concentrating on ‘relaxed glamour’, it would be easy to spin an entire capsule wardrobe from this stylish bounty.

Waistcoats, printed chiffon maxis, white crochet and denim midi skirts all tap into the ubiquitous 70s trend, making for key staples we’re longing to mix and match with wintery basics. We’re also obsessed with the texture clash; leather with lace, floaty frocks with fuzzy cover-ups, double denim with smart, tailored coats. Trust us when we say that these buys will manage your style round-the-clock.

There’s also a distinct nod to the 90s in sequin skirts paired with slouchy sweaters and oversized parkas worn with dresses. There’s some genius tailoring for work, printed jumpsuits and cosy knits for the weekend and killer accessories to amp up the most basic of outfits.

See? We really are obsessed. The best news is some pieces have already started to drop, while the rest will be available from August onwards. It’s never too early to start plotting your new season style, if you ask us.

Check out all the highlights of Mint Velvet’s chic new offering in our exclusive video above, and get ready to hit the checkouts. We’re still trying to pick our favourite frocks and separates, but it’s a guarantee we’ll be snapping up those fringed boots.

We’re never ones to wish away the summer months but we’re feeling particularly excited at the thought of shorter evenings and colder temperatures if it means we can wear these wonder buys. Before you’re up in arms at this statement, we defy you to set eyes on this collection and not feel the same.
