Most young girls dream of one day finding the perfect wedding dress. Oh, and a Prince Charming always helps too, right girls?
Now the fairytale can be even more perfect, as traditional bridal gowns have been given a Disney makeover. Come on, who doesn’t want to be a Princess for a day?
The 2015 Disney Fairy Tale collection from Alfred Angelo has drawn inspiration from eight iconic Princesses from Disney’s famous films, including the most recent, and highly popular, Elsa from Frozen.
We may have just broken out into a burst of ‘Let It Go’ at our computers – don’t hold it against us – but our attention has been brought back to these stand-out frocks. Because, pretty.
Drawing inspiration from the styles, personalities and stories of these iconic Disney characters, Alfred Angelo has created eight intricate designs, offering brides the chance to connect with their inner Princess and live out that childhood dream.
Each dress comes in traditional white or ivory, but is also available in a colourful hue that corresponds with the character.
The Fairy Tale collection includes dresses inspired by all of the favourites: Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Princess Jasmine and even Rapunzel.
Ariel inspires a gown that is crystal-beaded, so that the fabric itself draws on the sparkle of the sun on the ocean’s waves. Ariel’s dress simply had to play on the fishtail shape, with a cinch just around the knee to create a dreamy silhouette that’s reminiscent of a mermaid.
The Cinderella frock takes on the shape of the dress that the she wore to her first ball, designed by her Fairy Godmother. The material takes on the sparkle created by the magic spell, and also plays on her famous glass slippers.

Princess Jasmine’s gown actually features a hidden disguise. In a contemporary twist, it’s been cut into a modern jumpsuit with a detachable train. The crystal adornments are perfectly fitting for a Sultan’s daughter. This one’s the ideal choice for a daring and strong-minded bride.

This season Alfred Angelo will also debut the highly-anticipated gown inspired by Elsa from Disney’s Frozen. Reminiscent of the “Snow Queen”, this dress has all of the theatrics of that famous moment.
The dress encompasses all of the sass felt by the lead character in this pivotal moment of the film, when Elsa lets go (oh yes) and transforms into her true self – the Snow Queen. The icey gown boasts gorgeous snow flake embellishments and a wispy train. Gorgeous.
