Caitlyn Jenner will be starring in a brand new documentary about her new life as a woman, it’s just been revealed. And we’ve got a sneak peek clip (watch it below!).
E! announced the news, stating that ‘I Am Cait’ will be an eight-part, one-hour documentary serie sshowing the star living her life as a transgender woman.
In the clip, we see Jenner applying lipstick in the mirror as she admits she didn’t realise the ‘pressure women are under about their appearance.’
We’re sure it’s going to be one inspiring ride. ‘I Am Cait’ will premiere on Sunday 26th July on E! at 9pm.
Just yesterday, it was revealed how Caitlyn picked her name, with the star saying it was ‘one of the hardest things in life.’
In her interview with Vanity Fair, the magazine that gave Caitlyn her very first cover shoot as a woman, she admitted: ‘It’s one of the hardest things in life – choosing your own name.’
She went on to say that she tried to drum up inspiration by watching Miss America pageants and browsing the contestants’ names to see if anything caught her eye.
Heather and Cathy became strong contenders, Jenner says, but there was something about the name Caitlyn that stuck with her.
The Olympian said that the minute her assistant Rhonda randomly mentioned liking the name Caitlyn, she took it as a sign. And no, the trademark Kardashian K was never going to be an option (sorry, Kris).
In a weird coincidence, Jenner’s son Brody’s wife is also called Kaitlynn – could the inspiration have subliminally been a little closer to home?

Formerly known as Bruce Jenner, Caitlyn unveiled her new identity earlier this week, months after sharing that she would be transitioning. The big reveal came through her first cover shoot with Vanity Fair.
The cover picture, shot by noted fashion photographer Annie Leibovitz, went viral last night. Taking over social media timelines across the globe – and that’s no exaggeration – it was the picture that well and truly broke the internet. Nice to see it’s being kept in the family, eh?
The twittersphere was awash with positivity, through incredible messages of support for the 65-year-old.
Naturally, the Kardashian-Jenner clan all took to their social media accounts.
Kylie Jenner took to Instagram, sharing the cover shot with the caption: “My angel on earth! #caitlyn”
Plenty of other celebrities also joined the conversation…
Kim Kardashian gave her first interview since the reveal, on the carpet at the CFDAs, speaking with Access Hollywood.
She told of how Rob Kardashian knew nothing of the cover: “I’ve been on the phone maybe five different times today sending it to all the family members. It was so funny because all the girls – we knew Caitlyn was shooting this, but my brother had no idea… So I sent it on a mass text to everybody and my brother was on it, and he goes, “Kim, why are you sending me this? Who is this woman and why do I care.”
She added: “And I was like, Rob, that’s Bruce – that’s Caitlyn. And he was like, “Oh my god, she’s beautiful.”‘
As well as debuting the cover, Caitlyn also announced her arrival on Twitter, breaking the world record by gaining over one million followers in just four hours.
She tweeted: “I’m so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can’t wait for you to get to know her/me.”
“Another Jenner world record, and at 65? Who’da thought! Humbled & honored to have reached 1M followers in 4 hrs. Thank you for your support.”
Annie Leibovitz, noted photographer, is the first to have shot portraits of Caitlyn, which were taken in her Malibu home.
In a revealing tell-all interview, Jenner opens up to the magazine about her journey, saying: “If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.’ ”
Posing in an ivory corset, Caitlyn oozes confidence. Her make-up is subtle, yet glowing. Oozing old school Hollywood glamour, Caitlyn’s hair is tonged into loose curls, with a sweeping side parting.
It’s a beautiful shot, and the meaning is certainly poignant.
Jenner first announced that she was transitioning in an intimate interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer, explaining: “I am going to change the world… My whole life has been getting me ready for this.”
And we can see why.
Caitlyn’s high profile status means that she hopes that her journey will inspire many others to feel confident and happy to be themselves.
Vanity Fair unveiled the cover on Twitter today: “Caitlyn Jenner poses for Annie Leibovitz on the cover of Vanity Fair”.
This issue of Vanity Fair hits stands on the 9th June.
