Our new style crush Matilda Lowther works the tailored trend

Matilda Lowther: Our New Model Crush

Matilda Lowther has racked up a pretty impressive CV in a seriously short space of time. The Cumbrian-born model has walked for the likes of Burberry, Topshop and Paul Smith, as well as being photographed by legendary photographers such as Mario Testino, and she’s even bagged a Miss Vogue cover.

It all started when Tilly (or Bambi as she is known to her close pals) was spotted while out shopping with friends. After walking on just a few runways, Matilda was then discovered by Christopher Bailey who instantly snapped her up to open Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2014 show.

But she’s not just known as a Burbs girl. She’s also part of the Brit girl gang we love, along with model pals including Sam Rollinson and Lara Mullen, forming one forminable fashion force between them.

We’ve also fallen pretty hard for the super’s style.  A fan of tailored separates and oversized outerwear, Matilda’s off-duty looks never fail to provide us with some daily inspiration. One of our particular faves was the chic Dior suit she wore to the Dior and I premiere.

Currently you’re most likely to find Matilda walking for major power houses in New York and starring in epic photo shoots, not to mention posting selfies with her girl gang entourage.

It’s safe to say we’re Matilda superfans – keep your eyes peeled for her next big move.
