Prince William started his new job as an East Anglian Air Ambulance pilo yesterday, and while he was there, the royal took the opportunity to gush about his newborn Princess Charlotte.
‘It’s been fantastic’, the Duke of Cambridge said of his and Kate’s daughter. ‘She’s been a little joy from heaven.’
After stressing the importance of ‘staying grounded’ as he juggles fathergood, his royal duties and a new job, William added that George, who is nearly two, has been a bit of a handful.
‘At the same time, there is a lot of responsibility especially when George is around – he’s been a little monkey,’ he told reporters. ‘It’s no more difficult than what everyone else has to do.’
With that naughty grin and those cheeky chops, we can totally imagine George being a little terror! Bless.
And then came the question we’re all dying to know. Will he and Kate Middleton be trying for another baby soon?
‘It is fantastic having a lovely little family and I am so thrilled’. he said. ‘And Catherine has been doing an amazing job as a mother and I’m very proud of her. We’ve only just had the second one. You never know what is going to happen in the future.’ We can only hope!
Mario Testino’s official photographs from Princess Charlotte’s christening were released earlier this month – and, oh my, they are gorgeous.
Kensington Palace revealed the stunning series on Twitter, announcing: “We’re about to share some very special christening photos by @mariotestino. Thanks so much for all the lovely messages in recent days!”

This mother-daughter portrait shows Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, cradling Princess Charlotte in the Drawing Room at Sandingham House.
Prince George, who many believe stole the show, can be seen playing with his dad in the garden.
The famous photographer took to Instagram to share his excitement at being involved. He said: “I AM OVERWHELMED AND HONOURED TO BE CHOSEN TO TAKE THESE PORTRAITS ON THE OCCASION OF PRINCESS CHARLOTTE’S CHRISTENING, TO CARRY ON THE DOCUMENTATION OF THE FAMILY THAT IS THE SOUL OF THIS COUNTRY, A COUNTRY THAT HAS GIVEN ME SO MUCH.”
Despite having snapped the likes of Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne, this photoshoot may well become his most famous to date.
Kensington Palace previously announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilled to have the amazing photographer on board. A spokesperson released this statement:
“The Duke and Duchess are delighted that Mario Testino will help capture this important moment for their family and look forward to sharing the photographs with the public.”
We cannot wait to see them! The only person more excited about all this though may be Mr Testino himself:
“I am overwhelmed and honoured to be chosen to document this occassion and to carry on the documentation of the family that is the soul of this country, a country that has given me so much.”
The baptism will take place this Sunday, where we will see the first amazing official snaps of Charlotte, some gorgeous pics of Prince George, Kate and Wills as well as Charlotte’s God Parents, who have not yet been announced.
Mario was behind that very famous engagement photograph when the young Royals announced they would be getting wed and we’re pretty sure this one will be garnering just as much excitement as that one did.
We’ll have to wait until Sunday to see the results and to find out what Kate will be wearing, but for now, why don’t you check out Prince William’s Royal Family Album for all the best snaps of them so far.
