Leather Gets A Makeover For Spring
The Christopher Kane SS11 catwalk show was not one for the faint-hearted, however the neon leather pieces looked surprisingly wearable once teamed with preppy knitwear and a flush of barely there make-up. This got us thinking that maybe we should brighten up our leather pieces – after all, the sun is coming out! Forget playing it safe in neutral tones, this is the new way to do leather. Add laser-cut detailing into the mix and, voila, Christopher Kane models eat your heart out! We think this gorgeous cobalt number from Asos is the perfect alternative – not only is it a tenth of the price, but the shade is slightly more forgivable than the neon hues seen on the catwalk. A winner all round then – well, we think so! RS
