In case you hadn’t realized, Mother’s Day is tomorrow. Yep, tomorrow. If you haven’t already sent a card, made a call to the local florist, or booked a fabulous day of activities, do not fear– we’ve rounded up some activities that will guarentee you’re in her good books.
Treat Her To Afternoon Tea
All mums love afternoon tea, right? Afternoon tea is an affordable way to visit a fancy hotel or restaurant, and many establishments across the country are offering special Mother’s Day deals. Why not try Manchester’s Sugar Junction (£15.95 pp) or London’s Charlotte Street Hotel (£23.50 pp).
Go Back To Nature
If your Mum is an outdoors type, a trip to the country might just be the ticket. The National Trust are offering a number of activities at their properties around the country this Mother’s Day – for example at the Somerset property, Tyntesfield, there will be live music in the gardens. Or, if you’re London based take a trip to Kew Gardens and catch the last weekend of the Brazilian themed Orchid festival.
Plan A Pampering Day
Mother’s Day is the ideal opportunity for some chill time and mother-daughter bonding. For a relaxing Sunday morning, treat your mama to a swim and spa followed by a yummy poolside brekky at Bristol’s Lido & Spa, or make the most of Bannatyne Spa’s Mother’s Day deal at one of their many locations across the country.
Take Her For A Bevvy
Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to indulge in a few glasses of vino. If your mum is partial to a glass of the good stuff, wine tasting could be her dream way to spend the day. Beautiful Cliveden House in Berkshire runs wine tasting afternoons and this Sunday mums go for free!
Get Creative In The Kitchen
If you’re on a budget this year why not go back to basics and bake your mum a cake. A bit of home baking will never fail to put a smile on your mum’s face! We love the look of London bakery Lily Vanilli’s red velvet cake, or if she’s more of a chocolate fiend, why not have a go at making these raspberry and sea salt brownies from Joy The Baker. Just try not to eat them all yourself…
If all else fails, it’s not too late to send flowers. The deadline for Interflora delivery is 4pm today. Go, go, go…
