The 19-year-old took a departure from her usual bodycon style with a flamenco-inspired Balmain dress at the Marie Claire Makers Awards...
Could 2017 be the year of Kylie Jenner trying out a new signature style? Well, perhaps, if her latest look is anything to go by.
The 19-year-old has carved out a name for herself for rocking Kimmy-K style bodycon frocks, super tight catsuits and sequinned floor-sweepers over the past 12 months. But her look at the Marie Claire‘s Image Maker Awards last night was decidedly different.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star stepped out in a flamenco-style purple frilly Balmain frock that boasted secret mesh panels to hold the whole thing together. In fact, due to its halter-neck design and cut-out stomach and hips, Kylie’s frock wouldn’t have looked out of place on the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor.
The teen topped off with her signature smokey brown eye, fluttery lashes and a nude lip. Gorgeous.
The dress is definitely a talking point, and whilst Kylie rocked it (when doesn’t she?), not everyone was taken by the OTT frock.
‘What is this? A DIY dress??😒😒’, questioned one fan.
‘Your skirt is missing fabric’, commented another.
Besides her attention-grabbing outfit, Kylie also caused a stir on the red carpet by turning up with a hot date for the night… Only he wasn’t her boyfriend, Tyga.
Instead, Kylie’s plus one came in the form of Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing, who was seen hugging her from behind as the paps snapped away.
But for those fearing for Kylie and Tyga’s relationship, don’t worry – one look at Snapchat revealed that Tyga was in fact waiting for his lady inside, with Kylie posting a Snapchat of her kissing her rapper boyfriend on the cheek from inside the party.
