Kim Kardashian is constantly evolving her look, which is exactly why we love her. But her latest calf-boot trend won’t be for everyone.
Once is a moment. But two times is a trend (in our books, anyway). And the 34-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star seems set on her new midi skirt/calf boot combo.
We first saw them at the Chanel Couture 2015 show, which half-sister Kendall Jenner walked in – black stretchy square-toe boots with Chanel’s signature capped toe, riding half-way up the calf to give the illusion of socks.
And now it seems Kim’s giving this second skin silhouette a go with her take on the catwalk Chanel shoe trend, because she’s recently been slipping calf-socks under her favourite ankle boots.
Preferring hers with a heel, Kim teamed her Céline coat, Alaia bodysuit and leather Balmain skirt with a pair of black Guiseppe Zanotti boots while filming in LA over the weekend, slipping a pair of socks underneath to give the illusion of a calf-high boot.
Kim worked the same look the week before at LAX airport, rocking the same boots with a black midi dress and a huge shaggy grey coat.
Whether you’re a fan or not, the calf boot is coming. To avoid cutting your leg off at an unflattering angle, try these slouchier styles from Topshop and Dune, which will keep your pins looking slender.
