As if Kim Kardashian was going to start 2015 quietly.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has given Kendall Jenner a run for her money by starring on the cover of one of her half-sister’s favourite fashion bibles.
Kim is the January 2015 star of edgy cult publication, Love Magazine. Gracing the cover of the 13th issue in custom-made vintage Prada, picked especially for the mum-of-one by legendary stylist and editor-in-chief Katie Grand, Kim looks virtually unrecognisable.
No doubt something to do with those dramatic bleached brows, but Ms Kardashian West looks nothing like herself as she boasts dark brown retro Hollywood curls, a deep mahogany tan and a smouldering pout.
A little more Beyonce than Kimmy K, no?
Props to KG and photographer Steven Klein though, because we are totally smitten with Kim’s olive green brocade pencil skirt and bandeau top look, complete with oversized furry multi-coloured stole. Miaow.
‘Working with @stevenkleinstudio was so crazy for me! We shot for 3 days straight at a motel in LA. One night til 4am. @kegrand dressed me in all vintage and custom @Prada and bleached my brows! Can’t wait for u to see 30+ page spread with Steven Klein for Love Magazine’, Kim wrote alongisde the cover shot on her Instagram account.
And if Kim Kardashian isn’t a big enough draw for you, the magazine has also signed model-of-the-year Cara Delevingne as a contributing editor for its SS15 issue. Say what?!
‘I couldn’t be happier working with Cara, having her alongside me behind the camera for a change’, Grand said of the sign-up. ‘Of course, I’ve worked with her many times as a model – ever since we shot her for LOVE in 2009 with Dan Jackson after we were introduced by her godfather, Nicholas Coleridge – so I’ve always known that she’s an exceptionally bright, sharp and hilarious young woman.

‘That’s why I was so keen to let her have this chance to exercise her skills as a journalist and writer. And she has proven herself to be a fearless interviewer, never afraid to ask all the questions we want to know the answers to.’
LOVE 13 spring/summer 2015 is out 9 February.
