As we all know, the 34-year-old loves her warpaint. On a near weekly basis, she’ll take to Instagram to post a makeup-heavy selfie and tag her make-up artist @makeupbymario to thank him for her ‘glam’.
But while the pregnant star was making the point to the magazine that she’s always happy to give credit to make-up artists where it’s due, she also subsequently admitted that she feels like make-up makes her who she is.
‘Why not give them the attention?’, she said of her Instagram shout-outs. ‘Without them, I wouldn’t be me.’
Kim explained: ‘I genuinely love make-up so much…. I just love to always have my make-up and hair done and be made up. That’s just what my preference is.’
And that’s fair enough. But it got us thinking – should your make-up define you?
We can all relate to Kim when it comes to turning to your beauty bag to make you feel that little bit more glamorous and put together. And we guess Kim’s consistently flawless look is a huge part of her brand…
Let’s be honest, the Kardashians have pretty much built their empire on their blemish-free Instagram selfies and mega glam red carpet beauty looks, with sisters Khloe and Kylie Jenner being just as infatuated with Mario’s brush skills as Kim is.

‘I never really wear make-up unless I need to, because when I do my make-up I like to really do my make-up’, she said.
‘So I’m never going to spend just 20 minutes, you know? A good night out is, like, two and a half hours for full makeup, curling hair, whatever. I love false lashes – individuals, strips, extensions.’
And what do other celebrities say?
Supermodel Tyra Banks is firmly in camp Kim. ‘I love the confidence that make-up gives me’, she’s admitted in the past.
And Marilyn Monroe famously preached about her love of the slap. ‘If you’re gonna be two-faced, at least make one of them pretty’, she said.

But other more au naturel celebrities would rather do without. ‘Whenever I don’t have to wear make-up, it’s a good day’, Cameron Diaz says.
And for Michelle Keegan, her acting career has been built around her make-up free look playing Tina on Coronation Street.
‘People have seen me now without any make-up on at all’, she says. ‘I’ve been on screen with the camera close up on my face without any make-up on and you just get used to it.
‘I just think that if people don’t like it, they don’t have to look. As long as I feel comfortable, that’s the only thing that matters.’
