The collaboration's launch took place in New York last night, with an A-list crowd and A LOT of raucous fun...
Okay, that’s it. We’re withholding our rent and cancelling the entire month’s plans – because we need the entire KENZO x H&M collection.
The collaboration’s show took place in New York last night, and it was a seriously spectacular affair.
KENZO’s creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon proved that they’ve managed to perfectly mix high-fashion with fun, unveiling bold prints, statement pieces and vivid colours.
And what better way to do this than with a raucous showcase? That’s exactly what we got, with the evening’s proceedings being directed by fashion legend Jean-Paul Goude.
We saw a cast of dancers, beatboxers, whistlers and musicians strutting around a square runway. Not only that, but as the show finished, guests were treated to a surprise performance by rapper Ice Cube.
So who made it onto the guest list? Well, stars included Charli XCX, Chloe Sevigny, Sienna Miller, Elizabeth Olsen, Halsey, Iman, Joe Jonas, Lupita Nyong’o and Rosario Dawson.
It’s clear that those at the centre of the collaboration were incredibly proud – and so they should be.
Lim and Leon said: ‘Tonight was a celebration of everything we love about KENZO x H&M – it was a fun, vibrant and unexpected celebratory mix of different worlds coming together.
‘It was a show we will never forget.’
H&M’s creative advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson added: ‘The launch of KENZO x H&M was truly spectacular. It was amazing to see the collection come to life with all its incredible print, colour and energy.
‘It was such an honour to have Jean-Paul Goude direct the show and he captured the mood perfectly.’
The KENZO x H&M collection will be available in H&M stores and online from 3 November.
