Kendall Jenner On Arguing With Marc Jacobs

Kendall Jenner has been busy defending her near-supermodel status in a new interview with US talk show Nightline.

The 19-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star may have appeared to have glided effortlessly into the world of high fashion, but the reality TV star insists she’s grafted hard for her catwalks struts.

‘In reality I worked pretty hard for this, running around doing tests’, she told host Juju Chang. ‘It wasn’t like I just got it magically and it has just happened.’

The new face of Estee Lauder, who has also walked for the likes of Marc Jacobs, Balmain and Chanel, explains that being a model has always been a life-long dream.

‘I would always be looking at these supermodels, they were just so amazing, they were like superheroes… I want to be some little girl’s superhero.’

‘I want to be the best role model I can be to a little girl or a little boy or to anybody’, she adds.

Kendall also explained her decision to drop her last name from her agency’s website and contact cards, and the reason she really did stop Kim from coming to her FROWs.

‘Banned is a strong word, it is more of a mutual understanding’, she explained.

‘I think if my sister’s sitting in the front row, and my sister is who she is, it sounds weird, but it would have almost taken the attention away from what I’m trying to do on my own.’

And as for her thoughts on that nipple flashing top on the Marc Jacobs runway at NYFW?

‘Who’s going to argue with Marc Jacobs when he’s putting you in an outfit, you know what I mean?’ Jenner said. ‘It was an amazing moment. And, I do not regret it.’

A wise and savvy head on young shoulders, we think. Go Kendall.
