Katie Holmes Gets A Haircut In Time For The Met Gala

Katie Holmes is a lady who knows that the best place to debut a new hairdo is at the year’s biggest red carpet event – the Met Gala.

Which is why the savvy 36-year-old decided to flaunt her new fringed bob at the starry New York event last night, turning up to the red carpet after one hell of a transformation with her heavy new bangs framing her dainty features.

Very Velma Kelly from Chicago.

The former Dawson’s Creek star dazzled in a backless dress by her designer BFF Zac Posen which was full of sparkle and featured glittering rose embroidery on the back of the train.

We’re loving this fresh new cut on Katie, but if you were there thinking she’d just donned a wig for the night, think again.

The actress proved that her snip was real by posing for an Instagram snap with her hairdresser DJ Quintero before the event, in which Katie is seen with a pair of scissors being held to her wet ponytail.

‘Chop Chop! #MetGala #BTS BIG transformation!’ her hair stylist, who has also styles Jennifer Aniston‘s tresses, captioned the snap.

It’s not a style everyone could pull off, but with her rosy cheeks and striking bone structure, Katie instantly makes it a ‘wow’ style. We like.

Katie also Instagrammed a snap of her and Zac walking into the venue looking like Hollywood movie stars, as well as sharing a post-party pic of her gorgeous Roger Vivier shoes.

‘Thank you @rogervivier and @chopard for a great night! #metgala’, she wrote.

What a way to make an entrance. Nice bangs, girl!
