Would You Live In This House Designed By Kate Moss?

As if Kate Moss didn’t have enough on her CV, she’s just added yet another string to her bow with her very first interiors project.

Having designed several sell-out collections for Topshop, Kate is certainly no novice in the design world, although this marks a first when it comes to furnishings and homeware.

But, low and behold, The Barnhouse, a five-bedroom country house built in luxury Cotswold retreat The Lakes by yoo, makes for one of the most glamorous we’ve ever seen.

Speaking of how her first foray into the industry came about, Kate said: “John (Hitchox – the chairman of design company YOO) and I became friends through our love for the English countryside – and the pub! When he told me about the Barnhouse in the middle of the silver birch wood I was intrigued and then excited to become part of the design team. We have created a luxurious haven in the woods, a perfect place to escape with family and friends.”

Indeed, complete with bespoke furnishings, five decadent bedrooms, one very large outdoor swimming pool and its own acre of private woodland, the £2.5 million property really is idyllic.

Of course, Kate’s signature style nous is apparent too. Peruvian bed covers, velvet sofas, artwork from Kate’s collaborations with artists Jake and Dinos Chapman and Chris Allen, as well as snaps of the model herself are all scattered across the home.

To compliment her own handiwork, Kate also recruited the support of Katie Grove of Grove interiors: “I won’t do anything without her,” said Kate, “She knows my taste exactly. There’s the 1970s, there’s 1920s, there’s 1960s – the best bits of everything.”

All in all, the outcome has left us hoping that this will be more than just a dabble in the interiors world for Kate. We can’t wait to see what’s next…
