Turns out, Prince William and Kate Middleton suffer from holiday accommodation dramas just like the rest of us.

Yep, you might think that being part of the British royal family means that you get a shoe-in to whatever hotel you fancy, whenever you like (it’s just one of the perks, right?) Wrong.

Because apparently, Kate, William and brother Harry have actually been rejected from a 5-star hotel in Amiens, France, ahead of their summer visit for the Battle of the Somme commemorations.

The Mirror reports that hotel manager Olivier Walti, who runs the Hotel Marotte, has had to say no to the royal party as he isn’t willing to kick out other guests.

‘We would not tell people who have booked with us for months and who have already paid for their stay, “Sorry, but the royal family is coming, we will have to cancel”‘, he told the Courier Picard newspaper. ‘It’s just ethically unthinkable.’

Well, we admire the man for his morals. But still – it’s Wills, Kate and Harry in the house. We mean?!

Instead, Kate, Will and Harry are thought to be considering an Airbnb rental, due to the high volume of tourists who will also be visiting the area in June.

A Kensington Palace spokesman has said: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry will attend commemorative events in France on June 30 and July 1.’

‘This is an important commemoration and they are honoured to be taking part on behalf of The Queen and the Government.’

Cripes. We hope they find a sweet pad to shack up in soon!
