Was Charlotte Photoshopped Onto This Family Snap?

Remember Kate Middleton and Prince William’s super sweet Christmas family portrait that went viral last week?

In case you missed it, the proud parents stuck to royal tradition this year and posed for a Christmas card photo with their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

But now, the royals have been caught up in a slight bit of controversy, as Twitter is speculating that Charlotte was PHOTOSHOPPED onto the snap.

In the new family portrait, shared on the @KensingtonRoyal Twitter account, we see the happy family in the grounds of Kensington Palace looking picture perfect.

Kate looks chic and casual in blue jeans and a grey jumper worn over a blue shirt (and that swooshy hair is giving us serious goals), whilst Wills sets his gaze on George.

And quite rightly, too, as the cheeky chappy looks like he’s ready for mischief thanks to that huge grin and ready-to-run pose. And just look at those little legs in his pull-up socks! It’s just TOO much.

Charlotte sits in the middle, bouncing on her mum’s knee, looking sweet enough to eat in a pink paisley dress with matching cardigan and tights.

But people are now speculating that the image is not all it seems, and that Charlotte was actually Photoshopped into her mum’s lap. WE KNOW.

Buzzfeed reports that people have noticed that if you zoom in, the edges of Charlotte’s cardigan are slightly blurry, suggesting that the image has been tampered with. Surely not?

Babies can be pretty tricky to shoot, which is why people are suggesting that perhaps Charlotte didn’t get her pose nailed, or she got in the way of Kate’s luscious locks, and had to be inserted into the snap later on.

Either way, WE reckon the photo is legitimate, backed up further by the fact that a spokesperson for the Palace apparently ‘laughed out loud’ when Buzzfeed posed the question. LOL.

The photo was captured by Chris Jelf in late October, around the same time Charlotte had her first official picture taken (makes sense, seeing as she’s in the exact same outfit).

The caption on Twitter read: ‘A new family photo – Merry Christmas from The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.’

‘The Duke and Duchess are hugely appreciative of all the warm messages they have received about their family this year and are very much looking forward to their first Christmas as a family of four.’

Merry Christmas to all!
