Since Jess Glynne was announced as Bench’s brand ambassador back in March, fashionistas and musicians alike have been on the edge of their seats in anticipation of what would come next from the collaboration. Well, the wait is up.
This week saw the reveal of the first in a series of many projects to follow (so we’re told), in the form of the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2015 #LoveMyHood campaign. But this isn’t just any old campaign. Oh no, the promo sees a short vid featuring a day in the life of Miss Glynne. Exciting, right?!
As the camera follows Jess on an adventure around her hometown London, the Grammy-award winning musician treats viewers to an exclusive peek at her personal life, including growing up with music and how her life has evolved.
Of her experience performing at Alexandra Palace, she said: “I grew up next to Alexandra Palace which is such an iconic place. If someone had said to me then “Oi jess, you’re going to be playing there 10 years later” I think I would have laughed in their face. I’m sitting here now having just played there, and I think it was probably one of the most memorable gigs I have ever played.” And we can bet our bottom dollar it won’t be the last!
In keeping with the #LoveMyHood campaign theme, Jess also talks of her love for London.
She said: “One of the best things about making music is getting to collaborate with other artists. London is home to so many amazing artists – it’s the right place to be right now. There’s always something to do, especially if you know where to look. London is a real 24-hour city – I really love my hood.”

As for the promo shots, Glynne’s fiery red tresses make for the perfect finishing touch to each of Bench’s new pieces. Whether it’s the fur-lined parka or cream cowl neck sweater, Jess’ porcelain skin and curly locks are enough to convince anyone to part with some of their hard-earned cash.
And while we do so, we’ll also be starting our countdown for the launch of the next Jess Glynne x Bench project. The possibilites are endless..
