Why J-Law Disappointed Fans At The 2016 Oscars…

Jennifer Lawrence is one of our favourite awards season stars. But she left fans a little disappointed at this year’s Oscars.

Why? Because she was SO late to the red carpet, that most fans thought she might not even turn up!

Along with the rest of the world, we couldn’t wait to see the 25-year-old working the Dolby Theatre red carpet this year – in Dior? Would she fall? How would she wear her hot bob?

But after we watched most of the big hitters arriving and entering the venue, Jen was still nowhere to be seen. And it’s no exaggeration to say that Twitter was a little fed up.

Tonnes of memes started rolling in expressing just how much people were missing J-Law, whilst one user perfectly summed up people’s thoughts: ‘Where is Jennifer Lawrence and why isn’t she tripping and falling down?’ @hartzprod wrote.

Thankfully, Lawrence eventually turned up in a stunning sheer black ruffled lace Dior dress that was actually a lot racier than the star’s usual gowns – loving this risque look on you, lady.

Jen was also rocking a new ‘do, having coloured her blonde bob a slightly icier shade and chopped it into a sharp modern cut.

Whilst Jen wasn’t up for any awards on the night, she has had a cracking 12 months in terms of her career, and is still hands down one of the most sought after stars of the moment.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight last year, Jen joked that she now thinks directors ‘hate’ her.

‘You know, I have this theory that directors hate me’, she said after being asked why she’s always cast in roles that make her character sing. ‘I don’t know why. I hate it that I have to keep doing it. It’s the weirdest thing.’

‘I’ve never once put it out there that I think I can sing or that I even enjoy singing,’ she added. ‘Now it seems like I keep having to do it in every damn film!’

Hehe.
