Jaden Smith has been known for his eclectic sense of style for quite some time and has become a bit of a spokesperson for gender fluid fashion, often wearing women's skirts and dresses. In a bold move, Louis Vuitton has chosen the 17-year-old star as one of the faces to front it's spring/summer 2016 womenswear campaign.
Nicholas Ghesquiere – the house's creative director – revealed on Instagram over the weekend that the son of Will and Jada Smith has been chosen to appear in the striking new ads. He said, 'Happy to introduce Jaden Smith in the new SS16 @LouisVuitton ad campaign photographed by Bruce Webber.'

Jaden was clearly touched to be chosen for the campaign also posting the image with the caption, 'Thank You So Much @LouisVuitton And @NicholasGhesquiere For The Opportunity To Impact This World.'
Wearing a black leather jacket, a white fringed top and a studded skirt, the young actor more than holds his own against the other models. While it may seem a surprising decision for the fashion house to choose a 17-year-old boy for it's womenswear campaign, Jaden has been upfront about his gender-neutral wardrobe and his outspoken personality certainly bring some character to the shoot.
The youngster attended his prom in a white skirt and a black blazer, making one serious style statement. He also emphasized his genderless feel towards clothing when he posted an Instagram snap last year wearing a dress, with the caption, 'Went To Topshop To Buy Some Girl Clothes, I Mean 'Clothes'".
Jaden follows in the footsteps of his younger sister Willow who was one of the famous stars of Marc Jacobs' campaign last year. While this is his first official foray into the world of fashion campaigns, we have a feeling it won't be his last.
