Olivia Palermo Got Married – And You’ll Never Guess What She Wore…

It’s the moment we’ve been waiting for, ever since Olivia Palermo’s fiancé, Johannes Huebl, proposed to her back at the beginning of the year, and now we’ve finally caught a glimpse of the fashion couple’s big day.

Since Olivia appeared in a shoot for Brides magazine, we’ve been dying to see whether she would glide down the aisle in show-stopping Valentino, acres of Chanel lace or a breathtaking Oscar de la Renta gown, and yet the former star of The City surprised (and delighted) us all by opting for a Carolina Herrera three-piece bridal outfit.

Yep, that canny lady styled up her own wedding dress dream, choosing a cream cashmere sweater to go with her pristine white shorts worn underneath a romantic full tulle skirt overlay with cascading layers of silk and satin, featuring floral details towards the hem. She also nailed the classic pony tail, saying of her hair and make up: “I wanted the make up to be light and fresh and more focused about the lashes while keeping the eyes clean. My hair was in an uncontrived pony tail, one of my favourite personal looks.”

If that’s not dreamy enough, OP accessorised her wedding ‘dress’ with a something blue –

those

satin pumps that eventually acted as Carrie’s engagement ring in Sex And The City! According to the trendsetter’s website, the pair “said their vows amongst only a handful of family members and closest friends as they were surrounded by ivy and blossoming flowers in a quiet park tucked away in Bedford, New York.” We cannot cope with the romance!

Olivia’s new husband posted a gorgeous pic of him and his new wife on Instagram, captioning it with Special ‘Sundays’ News-Edition: Part 1 – Civil Wedding, we did it! #justMarried my beautiful bride!’ The reference to ‘Part 1’ suggests that there may be more wedding-related events to come, which means that there’ll be more of OP giving good bridal.
