iPhone 7… it’s BIG news.
Apple are slated to be launching their latest model in September, which means we only have two months to wait until we find out what improvements it’ll bring.
We swear we only bought our iPhone 6 a couple of months ago?!
Obviously, there’s *a lot* of speculation surrounding the possible updates. Artists have been mocking up images of the design while tech lovers have been pondering how the software will differ from the 6.
We’re not going to lie, there can be quite a bit of information to take in. So to make things easier, we’ve rounded up all the rumours in one place.
Here’s everything you need to know…
1. The iPhone 7 might NEVER need to be recharged
Wait. What?! Surely this is too good to be true? Well, probably. But The Express recently reported that Apple had filed a patent to embed solar cells underneath its touchscreens.
This would mean the phone would charge itself throughout the day (much like a watch). Unfortunately, they also say that the patent is ‘vague’.
However, a better battery in the A9 chip should still mean it’ll last longer than the 6. Equalling no more of this…
2. Force Touch could become a thing
Apparently, the iPhone 7 will be able to tell what you want it to do just by the pressure of your touch. In fact, it could turn your entire home screen into one giant pressure-sensitive button.
What is this wizardry?
3. The look
According to conceptual artists, it may feature a bigger body, curved edges and no home button. Some even think it could bear a resemblance to the iPhone 4. Interesting.

4. More upgrades
This is pretty much expected, but it’s worth a mention. The software on the iPhone 7 should run smoother and faster and we expect IOS9 to make a big change to the Maps and Notes apps.
Various other issues will also be cleared up.
5. An improved front camera
Hey. It’s all about the selfies these days, right? According to Macworld, the camera resolution will increase from 1280×960 to 1920×1080 pixels.
Hmmm. With quality like that, we’d also like to suggest automatic airbrushing.
