Hilary Duff has been launching herself back into the limelight of late.
After shocking the world by ditching her signature blonde locks in favour of a bright pop colour shade, the Nickelodean star has been spotted out and about, promoting her new TV show Younger.
Now, it’s her body that’s putting her in the headlines.
Known for her fit beach bod’, it’s clear that Hilary lives a really healthy lifestyle. Taking the cover of Shape Magazine‘s May issue, the actress rocks a casual holiday-ready look, sporting cut-off denim shorts and a patterned brallete bikini top.
Her cutesy cardigan is unbottoned to show off her impeccable abs.
So. What’s her secret?
Well. The starlet insists that she doesn’t enter into fad diets. She told the publication, “I’d rather have someone pull my fingernails off than hunker down and go on an actual diet.”
Um. Can we get an “Hallelujah”?
Instead, she hits the gym a mere three times a week. “I work out with weighted balls, battle ropes, and big rubber bands,” she explains.
“I do this thing with a sledge-hammer where I swing it and hit a rubber block, and it gets out all of my aggressions,” she continued, “Everyone is like “Uh-oh, Hilary’s got the hammer – get out of the way!”
Sounds like a Miley Cyrus-style work out to us.
Come on. Everyone has a splurge day, right? The mum-of-one admits that, for her, the “key to a happy life is cheese.”
Only a month ago, the star caused an Instagram storm when she posted a bikini selfie – looking amazing, we might add.

Talking about the decision on the Ellen Degeneres Show, she explained, “I had spent all weekend in a bikini, and I was feeling pretty good.” You go, girl!
“I’m just like everyone else. Usually, I’m not feeling so good. I [have a] love-hate relationship with my body.”
“[But] I was on a trip with my son, and it’s been three years since I had him. I’m just so proud of my body and what it’s done for me.”
She went on to state, “I feel strong and powerful, and I wanted to inspire other women.”
Mission accomplished, Duff.
