Yep, it’s that dress – the one that shot Pippa Middleton into fashion (and bottom!) stardom after the royal wedding. And now the iconic bridesmaid frock, created by Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton, has been copied by high-street fashion fave Debenhams for a fraction of the price.
Debenhams’ version has the same slinky cowl neck, button-back detail and elegant cap sleeves as Pippa’s, but costs just £170. We want one now! Anticipating a high demand, clever Debenhams have created a ‘lady-in-waiting list’ to allow customers to reserve the Pippa Middleton-esque dress. If you don’t want to miss out, just send your details to email@example.com to join the virtual queue.
Be careful, though, you’ll most definitely upstage the bride! If you want to go for a slightly more subtle look, the emerald green Alice Temperley dress that Pippa wore to the royal wedding reception party has also had a Debenhams make-under for £99. Plus, a black cocktail dress with similar lace sleeves and bodice to Kate Middleton’s wedding gown will be available in stores with the others by the autumn. We can’t wait! JG
