Futuristic Monocrome And Metal Rule At Mugler

The scene was set with a Spiro graphic backdrop as if from a future dimension which extended down the runway, and down it walked Mugler’s models clad in garments resembling pieces of technological metal.

Glamourous gowns with thigh-high slits and cut out panels were alongside monochrome dresses, tight leather and suits with sharp tailoring.

Beautiful body-con dresses embedded with glinting grommets sped down the runway, but the stars of the show were main frame metallic skirts that looked as if crafted from the inside of a giant circuit board.

What with fashion’s current 360 (the 60’s and 70’s revival), it was a breath of fresh air to see clothes representing something altogether more modern.
