Frankie Bridge may make maternity dressing look like a total breeze, but actually, she’s less than enamoured with her pregnancy wardrobe.
The 26-year-old The Saturdays singer, who is expecting her second child with husband Wayne Bridge, says she disliked her first-time-round maternity clothes so much that she now can’t bear to look at them. Eesh!
‘When I was first pregnant, I saved all of my clothes and when I opened up my suitcase full of all my maternity-wear and I thought “I just want to burn it all, I never want to look at it again”‘, she revealed at the Lorraine High Street Fashion Awards party last night.
‘Whereas this time, I found there’s so much more of an option.’
It’s obvious she’s feeling her baby bump clothes the second time round, as Frankie was looking happy and fabulous in her longline River Island shirt dress, her trusty jeans and those gorgeous neon yellow New Look sandals. Girl knows how to accessorize.
The singer was on the panel to present the Best Maternity award to Next, and she also shared a backstage snap of her getting pampered before the event.
‘Sleep standing… Mastered it!’, Frankie captioned the image of her getting her makeup done whilst standing up. Talents.
When we caught up with the stylish mum recently, she admitted she’s found it tough to dress for her blossoming shape.

‘Trying to get ready is a minefield’, she told us. ‘It’s hard to stay true to what you like and getting used to your new body. I don’t think I’d ever be seen in a pair of short shorts any more, and that’s what I always used to wear.
She continued: ‘But what should I wear instead? I used to wear four or five inch heels down to the shops, and I’d say I was never going to stop wearing them even when I had a baby. And now, realistically, that’s just not going to happen!’
Speaking of her go-to maternity look, Frankie admitted: ‘I love a good blazer and jeans, but I never like to feel like I’ve made too much of an effort – I’d hate to walk in to a room and be overdressed. Sunglasses are my most recent purchase because when you’re pregnant they’re still going to fit!’
